To help you feel more at ease during your visit, we offer nitrous oxide—a safe, gentle form of sedation that promotes relaxation while you’re in the chair. You’ll remain awake and able to communicate. You’ll also feel calmer and more comfortable throughout your treatment.

It takes a few minutes for nitrous to take effect, and to wear off.  This is convenient, as you can return to your normal routine right after your appointment.  Kids often go back to school and sports; adults can go back to work right away.

Biggest risk is stomach upset: please do not eat or drink 1 hour before procedure, especially heavy foods high in fat and dairy. Sometimes this induces vomiting during the procedure.
